The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Manager is responsible for maintaining the account payable records and inputting general ledger entries, preparing payable vouchers and checks in accordance with policies, and assisting in the collection of outstanding customer invoices.
A successful candidate in this role will be highly organized, have great attention to detail and deadlines, excellent with math and accounting-related finance, able to multi-task, and enjoy working in a small business environment.
We are a small, family-owned business and we'd love to find someone with a great attitude and a great sense of humor to join our office! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Reconcile accounts by verifying weekly payable entries with system reports and matching receiving reports to invoices and statements Batch invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents and packing lists Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices of sold products and services Pay invoices as scheduled and approved, including online payments and manual check payments Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation Reconcile monthly credit card and vendor statements to receipts Supervise the filing of all invoices, completed purchase orders, receiving documents, correspondence, etc.
Review floor inventory with financing auditor (floor checker) monthly Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions Mail monthly customer statements and assist in collection of outstanding customer invoices to ensure credit is received EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of previous experience in accounts payable and/or retail accounting required High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus (or equivalent experience) SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Attention to detail Organization and thoroughness Data and information analysis Communication and interpersonal skills Time management and ability to adhere to deadlines Accounting and accounts payable skills Data entry and computer skills WHAT WE OFFER:
